PISTON or SCREW?

Behind the choice of a compressor, the first question is: PISTON or SCREW?
There is no real rule to apply to all circumstances and conditions. First of all it is important to specify the type of use which is intended for the compressor and the air flow rate that it requires. You also need to know how often you will use the compressor.
We can say that a professional piston compressor is designed to operate in an intermittent manner, while the screw compressor is usually dedicated to continuous uses. The greater is the daily use of the compressor, the greater is the possibility that the screw compressor is the most suitable and efficient solution.
